by Spotts Performance. This US made laser cut Pontiac V8 Crank scraper will make 10 to 15 horsepower and even more importantly, keep your oil in the oil pan and at the oil pump! Tested on a 8000 RPM blown Pontiac engine making over 1000 horsepower. I never hurt a bearing in over 13 years in that engine. Also used in many stock street applications and everything in between. The scraper installs as shown in pictures, by gluing down with good silicone like ultra gray or ultra black Permatex, or the recommended “The Right Stuff” by Permatex. By using feeler gauges on the crankshaft weights (.020 to .060 clearance recommended) and manually turning engine, you can position the scraper with the elongated holes to the exact position you want. No filing necessary! Once position is established, simply bolt down with bolts and washers till silicone sets/dries. Allows oil pan gaskets to be used. I recommend gluing pan gaskets to oil pan and drying at same time. Works with or without windage trays and baffled oil pans. I offer 3 scrapers for almost every application.
